The Challenges

This Normandy Shores home had seen its share of storms, suffering significant wood, salt and water damage over the years.

After making significant and repeated repairs to the home, the property owner decided it was time to tear it down and start over with a structure that was truly built for the whatever the Jersey Shore could throw at them.

Built upon 40-foot pilings a custom-poured foundation with concrete piers, concrete boarding throughout, extra flashing, corrosion-proof hardware and storm-proof windows that were reinforced with both nails and screws, this new home is a force to be reckoned with.

When Sandy struck the Shore in 2012, this house was ready for it.  While many of the surrounding houses were wiped out, this home suffered only minor water damage in the basement and garage.
